Prior to getting our hands on the ‘Impulse’ backpack from STM’s new Velocity collection, we’d heard a lot of good things about the brand; mostly that when it comes to blending fashion and functionality, they’re one of the best. With a mission statement to “Protect your digital cargo”, STM makes bags that cater to the modern urban adventurer: a guy who never leaves home without his gadgets and demands that they’re properly protected while still being easily accessible.

The Impulse is incredibly well-made, with every stitch, zipper and strap exactly where it needs to be. The bag features a spacious main compartment, with an heavily padded internal sleeve to insulate your 15″ laptop or tablet from whatever else you may fill the bag with. A secondary compartment provides the ability to further organize your goods, and a front pocket is laid out to secure all your small goods like a phone, keys, etc.

The straps are comfortable and fully adjustable, with the added sternum strap giving you the option of even more security. The back of the bag is both comfortably padded and vented to keep you cool during those dog days of summer.
