Everything about this Maxx & Unicorn Co. black leather bi-fold wallet completely blows us away. Handcrafted in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, this amazing piece is folded origami-style, then glued, from a single piece of leather. The leather is a vegetable tanned cowhide from a very old, family-run tannery in Montebello, Italy, specially made for Maxx & Unicorn with a unique finished back side that strengthens the skin, eliminating the need for a lining or double-layered leather.
The front of the wallet showcases an embossed “dueling pistols” icon, which is an old military insignia used by the MP division in the 1940s. Miraculously, this lightweight wallet is available online for less than a hundred dollars through Hickory’s Hard Goods.
